Meet Brett.

Brett Marlo DeSantis lives the tiny life in the Great Pacific Northwest and loves it! She has a Master’s Degree in Interior Architecture + Design, is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Construction + Design, and is Living Future Accredited. She believes in continuing education and staying on top of trends (even better she stays in front of them!) Brett owns and operates her local business Brett Marlo Design Build. She is grateful for her insanely talented team that makes all this work possible!

Brett Marlo DeSantis delivers design consultation for individuals, companies and other contractors. Between design, and design build, she has the flexibility to work as either a consultant or a registered general contractor, and provides design build services to the greater South Sound region.

Her clients have one point of contact through the whole design + construction process. With an integrated design team led by herself, they have experts in every field contributing knowledge early in and throughout the process!

Brett believes strongly in green building techniques, energy-efficiency and sustainability. BMDB offers design services whether the client is dark green, light green or just beginning to think green.

Brett believes in advocating for a healthier built environment. In our community, she serves on several boards and organizations that she feels passionate about: Cascadia Green Building Council, City of Gig Harbor Building Codes Advisory Board, City of Gig Harbor Design Review Board, Downtown Waterfront Design Committee, Harbor WildWatch and the Emerge Leadership Project (ELP is now part of International Living Future Institute.)

Brett believes in servant leadership; inspiring others to live and advocate for a healthy built environment. Some people say she’s a “change agent.” When not on a jobsite, she enjoys writing a green building column for several local publications and her blog. Brett endeavors to educate others about healthy materials. One day (very soon) she hopes to see sustainable living become the mainstream; affordable and accessible.
